TUM Senior Excellence Faculty (SEF)

Since 2007, the Technical University of Munich has been conferring the honorary title “TUM Emerita of Excellence” or “TUM Emeritus of Excellence” upon outstanding scientists after their retirement and continues to involve them in important tasks of the university.

As members of the TUM Senior Excellence Faculty (SEF), the Emeriti of Excellence (EoE) contribute to the strategic development of TUM – with many years of academic experience, strong national and international networks, and high scientific reputation. Their commitment is honorary, independent, and grounded in a lasting connection to the university.

 

Since 2007, TU München has been awarding outstanding scientists after their retirenment with the honorary title of TUM Emerita respectively Emeritus of Excellence and keeping them involved in important tasks of the university. As members of the TUM Senior Excellence Faculty (SEF), the Emeriti of Excellence (EoE) make a valuable contribution to the TUM in genereal and to its strategic development, due to their many years of experience in science and research, national and international networks, as well as with personal independence and high reputation.
